On Sunday November 17th the Words & Music Show features the amazing Catherine Kidd, premiering new soundscapes for work of hers that will appear in an upcoming album.
The show will also present voice and piano work by Marie-Claire Durand, a set by Jay Alexander Brown and a performance by Mary St-Amand Williamson.

Catherine Kidd is one of the top spoken word artists in the country. She had released CDs, DVDs and books of her work and has toured it in North America, Africa and Europe.
Marie-Claire Durand is a pianist, vocalist and composer who appears in numerous incarnations in the Montreal music scene.
Jay Alexander Brown is a Montreal artist, Arabic translator and American expat. He holds a degree in Religious Studies from McGill, is a longtime member of the Throw Poetry Collective, and currently serves as literary assistant to the wisest rabbi in Montreal. His passions include happiness, sadness, and roasted garlic, and his dating profile reads “A4S: Abraham seeking Sarah, must enjoy long walks through the Sinai desert.”
Mary St-Amand Williamson is a renowned dancer and performance artist who once killed a cabbage and shredded it into pieces at the Words and Music Show. So maybe you should wear boots!
The Words and Music Show is hosted by Montreal poet and performer Ian Ferrier. It is funded by Wired on Words Productions, and presented by the Quebec Writers’ Federation, CKUT 90.3FM and Wired on Words.
