Call for Submissions 2019: elevated

What does it mean to be elevated— personally, aesthetically, politically, spiritually, physically? This is an invitation to fly too close to the sun, or stay grounded on the concrete. Can the everyday become elevated? How does bringing our bodies and minds to higher places alter, correct, protect, or harm our perspectives? In this upwards movement, what rises? What sinks?

Headlight encourages submissions from writers all across Canada. Underrepresented writers identifying as LGBTQ2S+, BIPOC, or writers with diverse experiences are highly encouraged to contribute.

Written submissions should be in .doc or .docx format
Visual art submissions should be in high resolution .png format

Fiction: up to 2,000 words
Non-Fiction: up to 2,000 words

Visual Art: up to 3 images

Email your submissions along with a short bio (~80 words) to headlightanthology@gmail.com by midnight on January 31, 2020.
